Though this is a day dedicated to the liberation of Africa, only 12 countries of the 54 on the African Continent celebrates this day as a Public Holiday. Though this is not essential, it is tellin of the state of the continent in relation to its liberation.
On this day in 2021, we are gathered as the Rural Women\’s Assembly of South Africa, dialoguing on Land and the Land Question which has for the last 25 years ignored women ownership. We are forwarding on the One Woman – One Hectare campaign and will ensure that women will be liberated through land possession- women are the guardians of Land, Life, Seeds and Love! We will continue claiming our place!
