The Namibian Rural Women\’s Assembly commemorated International Rural Women\’s Day and World Food Day on 25 October 2017. The theme for this year\’s commemoration was \’The Role Rural Women Play in Agriculture\’. The event was well attended by rural women coming from over 14 regions in Namibia.  Hon. Anna N. Shiweda, deputy minister of the Department of Agriculture, Water and Forestry were not able to attend the event but she gave a message of support at the event.
